Additional Voices

I have always had a passion for creating something … anything. Then the summer between my junior and senior year in high school, I was offered a fabulous opportunity to do a Summer Honors program at Indian State University in radio, television and film. Once I walked into the radio station I knew I had come home. From there I went on to earn a Bachelor or Arts degree in Broadcast communications from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio in 1989.

However, it wasn't just enough to be "the voice." I wanted to know how to work the magic in the studios that took someone's voice, some music and few sound effects and create something that grabs people's attention and hangs on for dear life. So in 1986 I went to The Recording Workshop and studied audio production, mixing, trouble shooting and maintenance and then went back in 1992 to study some of the new technology that had evolved.

Never one to let time pass me by I am currently enrolled in the Art Institute On Line (affiliated with the Pittsburgh Art Institute) and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.

I have worked in radio for 12 years in a variety of formats ranging from Oldies to Adult Contemporary to Eighties. In that time I have done it all; overnight, mid days morning co-host and news. In that time I have written and produced commercial spots, public service announcements, promos and liners. In addition I produced two short form news programs ranging in topics from pet care to general public service.

What kind of voice do you want to represent you? Sophisticated? Elegant? Conversational? Professional? Hard sell? Soft sell? Anyone can read a script you hand her but if you are looking for a voice talent that will work with you to determine the best approach for your audience then you have come to the right place.
